Pre fire aerial photos spring 1999.
If you choose to click on these, be aware that they are large and will take up
more of your screen than you can see at one time. The purpose is to allow you to
view these in more detail than would be true of most Web page photos. The size
should be worth it in relation to the detail viewable.

In two of the photos, a green pond can be seen which now contains oil.
The first photo shows I-5 in the background. All three photos are facing
approximately southeast.

This photo shows the conveyer used to transport tires up to the tire burning
plant in the foreground left. The area where the tires are prepared to be
loaded on the conveyer is just in front of the flames.

In this photo, firemen spray water over the fire in early hours of effort. All photos were taken
on Wednesday shortly after the fire started.

This photo shows a group of cargo trailers being menaced by the flames. It
is presumed these trailers have burned and may have contained tires newly
delivered to the site.

This is a wider angle photo of the previous photo showing the size of the
area.
All photos were taken by Editor Ron Swift.
